UKpedia24 on your phone

Add UKpedia24 to your phone's home screen on iPhone, Android or desktop. What the web app does, what works offline and where your saved plan is stored.

By UKpedia24Sources checked: 2026-09-24

You can add UKpedia24 to your phone’s home screen and open it like an app, with no download from an app store. It is a web app: the same website, opened in its own window. There is no UKpedia24 app in the App Store or Google Play, so do not install anything that claims to be one.

Add it to your home screen

Use the button if installation is supported, or choose Add to Home Screen in your browser menu. This release is a web app, not an App Store or Google Play listing.

On iPhone (Safari)

  1. Open ukpedia24.com in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button.
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen. If you cannot see it, tap Edit Actions at the bottom of the list and add it.
  4. Tap Add. The icon appears only on the device where you add it.

Apple explains the steps in its iPhone User Guide ↗.

On Android (Chrome)

  1. Open ukpedia24.com in Chrome.
  2. If an install prompt appears after you tap the button above, confirm it.
  3. If not, open the browser menu and choose Add to Home screen or Install app.

On a computer (Chrome)

Google’s Chrome help page ↗ explains that you can select Install in the address bar, or open the menu and choose Cast, save, and share, then Install page as app. To remove it later, open the web app, open its menu and choose Uninstall.

What the installed app gives you

What works offline?

An offline help screen is available. Tool pages need an internet connection to open; market data and sponsor searches also require connectivity. Old prices are not presented as current.

This is deliberate. Fees, tax rates and gold prices change, and we would rather show you nothing than an out-of-date figure that looks current.

Your data on your phone

Installing the app does not create an account and does not send us anything new. Your plan, trips and saved guides stay in your browser’s local storage on that device. They are not synced to other devices. Before you change phone or clear your browser data, use the export option in the tool to keep a backup. The privacy policy explains what the site stores and how to delete it.

The app does not send notifications. To hear about fee or rule changes, follow our updates page or sign up for email alerts on the GOV.UK page you care about.

Common questions

Is the app free?

Yes. Installing and using it is free, with no subscription or in-app purchase.

Which page does it open on?

It opens on the Arabic home page. Tap English in the header to switch language. Guides you save with the Save guide button appear in My plan.

Does it need permissions?

No permissions are requested when you install it. Only the prayer times page may ask for your location, and only if you tap Find my nearest city. You can say no and pick your city from the list.

Removing the app

Remove the icon as you would any other app: press and hold it, then choose remove or uninstall. Removing the icon does not always delete the data saved by the site. To delete it, use Clear tool data on the privacy page or clear the site’s data in your browser settings.
